The task of choosing a school that meets a players academic and athletic needs may promote feelings of anxiety and panic. Given that the recruiting process has sped up tremendously over the past ten years with coaches asking for verbal commitments by the time a player is only in their sophomore or junior year only magnifies the feeling of having limited time to make the right impression… at the right time… with the right program. We advise starting to actively engage in the recruiting process by the Spring of your freshman year in high school. Recruit the college coach… don’t wait for them to recruit you! We have created a tool that supplements playing at showcases with your club team. Individual player highlights are a great way to get on a college coaches radar early. Individual player highlights are also useful for players who have aspirations of playing at a program that will not be attending a showcase that your club is playing in for an upcoming year.
HOW IT WORKS... Field Players Step 1: You contact us to ensure that we have filming availibility. Step 2: We will e-mail you an invoice with a link where you can make payment. Step 3: We come out and film the pre-determined number of games that you have requested with a 30 foot video tower. Step 4: You can choose from IN PERSON TAGGING OR REMOTE TAGGING (Must have an IPhone or IPad). 1) In Person Tagging process... Let's say you have 6 players on the same team who have signed up for an individual package (any number would work the same). We will load 6 laptops with your teams raw game footage and bring it to your club office, high school, or other meeting place. We will create a button with your name that will be off to the right of the video player. Everytime that you see something that you like you simply hit your button. The system will capture 40 seconds of video footage for that click. That's it on your end. You don't have to edit anything... just simply let us know with a click of the button what you want in your video. 2) REMOTE TAGGING process... Works the same with an free app that we send you to tag your games from home. The system then allows you to e-mail us the CSV file that is created after you complete the tagging process. Step 5: You will then need to click on the yellow "player profile form" button at the bottom of the registration chart. You will fill out all of your contact, athletic, academic, and reference information in that form. Step 6: We then import your tagged clips into our editing system, decide what stays and what goes (based on what a college coach wants to see), clean each clip up, put a glow around you at the beginning of each clip, render the video, upload the video, create your profile, and embed your video links into your player profile. Step 7: That's it! You will then receive a profile in pdf form with your club (or high school) banner at the top and bottom of your profile (see examples below). The form will contain all of the pertinent information that a college coach is going to want to know about you. The profile will also contain two video links. One will be your player highlight video and the other will be the full game in case the coach gets to a point that they want to see an extended version of the game. Everytime that you e-mail a college coach you simply attach your profile for the coach. The objective is to gain enough interest through your product to get them to come see you in person. **We advise having 2-3 games per year on hand. This will give you a range of games to choose from based on the level of the programs that you are pursuing. Goalkeepers THE PROCESS IS THE SAME. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT WE WILL INCLUDE ONE TRAINING SESSION WITH YOUR GOALKEEPER COACH IN ADDITION TO THE GAME THAT WE FILM TO INCLUDE IN YOUR HIGHLIGHT VIDEO AS GOALKEEPERS GO MUCH LONGER WITHOUT ACTION IN A GAME THAN FIELD PLAYERS DO AT TIMES. TRAINING SESSIONS WILL PROVIDE GREATER REPETITION FOR YOUR VIDEO. Other important notes: *Video is shot so that college coaches can see both the individual players technical and tactical abilities. *NlSS has two "A" Licensed coaches who have sent on hundreds of players to college on soccer scholarships. Having high level soccer minds in charge of editing ensures the best soccer product. *THE SCOOP ON HIGHLIGHT VIDEOS USED FOR MARKETING YOURSELF TO COLLEGE PROGRAMS... I hear from parents all of the time that college coaches don't want to see highlight videos but rather full length games. This is NOT the case. The KEY is that each clip in the highlight video is extended a few seconds before and after what we are highlighting so that the coach can see their shape, runs, decisions before and after whatever we have captured. College coaches get hundreds of e-mails, videos, letters from prospects each week. They don't have time to watch full length games for every player. IF the coach likes what they see in the highlight video they will then either watch the full game link provided in the profile we create or come see them in their next showcase (or both).
